Manny Ortiz

Manny’s introduction to Martial Arts was in Shotokan Karate. Earning his Black Belt under 5th Degree Mark TenEyck of Red Dragon Karate. As a Black Belt he was teaching kids program for approximately 3 years before beginning his journey into Brazilian Jiu Jitsu at the late age of 43. Manny earned his Black Belt in under 9 years and is currently a first-Degree Black Belt under 4th Degree Black Belt Sammy Garcia of GF Team Covina formerly known as Teixeria-Garcia BJJ.

Manny’s BJJ background is from a competition school and has won multiple BJJ events in every belt level. He also assisted with the kids and adult program at GF Team for 11 years. He now resides in Idaho Falls and continues to share his passion for the Gentle Art. He’s currently assisting the head instructors at Vibe and continues to share his knowledge on the mats.      

Manny is currently married and has two kids
